I’m Christyn Carter. Welcome to my corner of the literary world.

Growing up between the shimmering lakes of Ontario and now nestled among Alberta's majestic mountains, I'm blessed to be inspired by this beautiful country that I call home.

I have been writing both professionally and personally for almost fifteen years and still am deeply in love with the power of words. My poetry collection, Pieces of Me: An Anthology of "Back Then" (published under my poet penname Grace Carter), captures fragments of my life experiences and observations, assembled like a literary mosaic of moments that shaped me.

At home in Alberta, I share life with my wonderful husband and our two feline writing assistants, Pixel and Beans, who provide equal parts inspiration and distraction to my creative process.

When I'm not writing, I'm likely working on my mental health on the wall at my local bouldering gym, nerding out over a board game, or completely lost in a fictional realm—usually one filled with enchanting fantasy elements or heartwarming romantic comedies.

What draws me to both reading and writing is the magic of vivid, authentic characters—those fictional souls who feel so real they practically leap from the page and take up residence in your heart. Whether wandering through fantasy realms or navigating the complexities of modern relationships, I believe it's the characters who transform words into worlds.

I'm so glad you've found your way here. Feel free to explore my works, reach out through social media, or sign up for my newsletter to join me on this continuing literary adventure.
